Thanks for this post. It certainly has guided to me to What I really need to see in the days we will be there. Any suggestions for whitewater rafting? We will be there in July and we would like the most active whitewater rafting ride we can get.

Hi Emily! With your flight arriving at 12:30 in Kalispell, you’ll definitely have time to at least drive Going-to-the-Sun Road. You may be a bit pressed for time to hike Hidden Lake too and then get to wherever you’re spending the night. In the summer, the sun sets pretty late, so if you aren’t rushed to get to your accommodation, you could do Hidden Lake at sunset.

Another idea is to drive straight to Hidden Lake when you arrive and do the hike without stopping much on GTSR. You’ll be back across the road if you do other hikes in that area later in the week!

This was so helpful for me as I plan my trip! Is it possible to do the Day 1 activities in just an afternoon? The only flight option doesn’t arrive until 12:30pm in Kalispell.
